Dele Oye, the national president of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA), has advocated for increased bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and India, aiming to enhance the existing $11.8 billion bilateral trade between the two nations.

Oye, a distinguished guest at the Nigeria-India Business Summit hosted by the Nigerian India Business Council (NIBC) under the leadership of Emeka Offor in Abuja, lauded the NIBC for its instrumental role in fostering the economic development of Nigeria. He commended the council’s efforts in deepening economic ties, fostering trade partnerships, and boosting investments between the two countries.

Recognizing the NIBC’s effectiveness in organizing the summit, Oye emphasized its prominence in Nigeria’s international business engagements, acknowledging its influence in shaping the nation’s economic landscape.

Under Emeka Offor’s leadership, Oye highlighted NIBC Nigeria’s success as a robust conduit for cultivating international business relationships. He emphasized that the summit, with its strategic facilitation, not only set a benchmark for future international economic forums but also underscored the indispensable role played by organizations like NIBC Nigeria and NACCIMA in advancing Nigeria’s economic diplomacy.

Oye expressed optimism about the future, stating, “The summit stands as a beacon of hope for a future where collaborative efforts translate into shared success and development for all parties involved.”

The summit served as a platform for high-level dialogue and showcased tangible advancements achievable through international cooperation, paving the way for breakthroughs in trade, investment, and economic development.

Oye concluded by highlighting the collaborative spirit embodied by NIBC Nigeria and NACCIMA as a powerful catalyst for progress. He emphasized that the partnerships and initiatives initiated during the summit are poised to usher in a new era of prosperity for both Nigeria and India, grounded in mutual respect, understanding, and shared ambition.

The event brought together prominent figures from Nigeria and India’s business landscapes, government officials, and private sector leaders, including Hajia Bola Shagaya, Kamoru Yusuf (Kam Steel), James Uduji (Comestar), India’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, S. Jaishankar, Rekha Sharma of NIBC India, and Khurshed Daruvala of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
