    Military Forces Achieve Significant Success: 735 Weapons Recovered, 52 Terrorists Neutralized, 60 Criminals Arrested, and 7 Abductees Rescued in One Week – DHQ

    The Military on Friday has recovered a total number of 77 weapons and 658 assorted kinds of ammunition, neutralized 52 terrorists and arrested the following; 53 criminals, 7 suspected oil thefts while rescuing 61 kidnapped hostages.

    Director Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba made this known in Abuja, adding that a total of 7 terrorists comprising of 5 adult males, 1 adult females surrender to troops.

    According to Major General Buba, the successful operations were carried out by the combined efforts of the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Air Force, and other security agencies. He praised their commitment and dedication in ensuring the safety and security of the country.

    In the course of these operations, 77 weapons were recovered, including firearms, explosives, and improvised explosive devices. Additionally, 658 different types of ammunition were seized, preventing their potential use in acts of terror and violence.

    The military also successfully neutralized 52 terrorists, dealing a significant blow to their operations and disrupting their potential to cause harm. This achievement demonstrates the effectiveness of the military’s counter-terrorism strategies and their commitment to eradicating the threat of terrorism.

    Furthermore, a total of 53 criminals were arrested during the operations. These arrests will contribute to maintaining law and order in the affected areas and send a strong message to those involved in criminal activities.

    The military also foiled 7 suspected cases of oil theft, which is a major economic challenge for the country. By apprehending these individuals, the military has contributed to the preservation of national resources and the prevention of economic sabotage.

    In a remarkable display of bravery and professionalism, the armed forces also rescued 61 hostages who had been kidnapped by various criminal elements. This act of rescue not only brings relief to the victims and their families but also serves as a deterrent to those involved in such heinous acts.

    Major General Buba assured Nigerians that the military remains committed to safeguarding the nation and its citizens from all forms of threats. He called on the public to continue providing intelligence information to support ongoing operations and urged them to remain vigilant.

    The achievements showcased by the military within a week are a testament to their unwavering determination and dedication. With ongoing efforts, the armed forces are confident in their ability to restore peace and security to all parts of the country.
