Renowned Nollywood actress Mary Njoku has vehemently criticized individuals who are questioning the paternity of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad’s son.

Omawunmi, the wife of Mohbad, has recently faced a barrage of criticism regarding her son’s complexion, with some demanding a DNA test to confirm the child’s parentage.

Taking to Instagram on a Friday, Mary Njoku labeled this call as morally reprehensible and urged people not to exacerbate the grief of the widow.

The prominent actress emphasized that if the late Mohbad himself never doubted the child’s paternity, then the public should refrain from casting doubt and instead focus on seeking justice for him.

In her post, she expressed, “It is truly heartless to demand a grieving widow to subject her son to a DNA test. Come on! She has just lost her husband, the father of her child, her partner and protector of a decade. Allow her to grieve in peace.

“If you cannot offer your support, at least refrain from adding to her anguish! The cost of a DNA test is a trivial matter. Just because she may not be wealthy, that does not give anyone the right to question the paternity when her husband never did.

“Please, let the departed rest in peace. Do not torment his family. Our primary focus should be on obtaining justice for Mohbad.”
