    Major General Abubakar Affirms Importance of Training in Combat Operations at Graduation Ceremony

    The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division Nigerian Army (NA) and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar has affirmed that training was the key element of the physical component of fighting power to troops in combat operations.

    He made the affirmation on Monday at the combined graduation ceremony of the Engineer Basic Course(EBC) 5 and Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Course 1 of 2023 at the 43 Engineers Brigade Sappers Auditorium, Maxwell Khobe Cantonment, Jos.

    In his address, Major General Abubakar emphasized the importance of continuous training in the military, stressing that it enhances the combat readiness and effectiveness of troops in the field.

    He commended the graduands for their commitment and dedication throughout the courses, noting that their successful completion was a testament to their hard work and the quality of training they had received.

    The GOC highlighted the significance of the Engineer Basic Course and the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Course, stating that these were essential skills required in modern warfare.

    He emphasized that engineers play a vital role in ensuring the success of military operations by providing essential support in various areas such as construction, route clearance, and the disposal of explosive devices.

    Major General Abubakar also expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration between the Nigerian Army and Operation SAFE HAVEN, stating that this partnership has contributed significantly to peace and stability in Plateau State and the entire region.

    He urged the graduands to remain committed to their duties and to continue building their skills through further training and professional development.

    The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates to the graduands, accompanied by a display of their skills in various engineering tasks.

    The GOC expressed his confidence in their ability to apply their training effectively in future operations and urged them to consistently uphold the values and professionalism of the Nigerian Army.

    In attendance at the ceremony were senior military officers, distinguished guests, family members, and friends of the graduands.

    The event served as a platform to celebrate the achievements of the graduands and to inspire other soldiers to strive for excellence in their training and service to the nation.
