    Published on

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, DSVA, has confirmed it is aware of a video circulating on social media in which a young woman recounted her experience of sexual assault at her residence.

In an official statement issued by the agency on Tuesday, it stated that efforts are being made to reach the survivor to provide immediate support and intervention, as well as to ascertain her location.

“Our team has initiated contact through available channels and will continue efforts to establish communication,” the statement read.

The agency urged anyone with credible information to help reach the survivor safely to contact them via direct message on official social media channels.

The Lagos State Government reiterated its zero-tolerance stance against domestic and sexual violence, stressing that sexual assault is a crime and that every survivor deserves protection, care, support, and justice.

The DSVA emphasized that all reports are treated with confidentiality and urgency, and encouraged survivors to speak up.

The agency said it would provide further updates as appropriate.
