    * Cautions party members, public against fraudsters

    By Olufemi Oni, Ilorin

The Kwara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has disassociated itself from an unauthorised online portal said to have been opened in the name of the Party, which has gone viral on some social media platforms.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Party’s Publicity Secretary in the state, Mr. Olusegun Olusola Adewara, and made available to newsmen in Ilorin, the state capital.

The party warned that the online portal, https://kwarapdp.com..ng, which was created and requesting Kwarans to register as members of the PDP through an electronically guided form did not emanate from the Party, adding that “the leadership of the party has not authorised any electronic platform except for the official WhatsApp channel, which was publicly communicated in our press release of May 27, 2024.

“For the records, the Kwara PDP has not authorised any website in its name, nor has it commenced the proposed online registration of members,” the statement said.

It added that the party would adequately and officially inform the public through its relevant organs once it was ready for such an endeavour.

“We therefore caution all PDP members, supporters, and the general public not to patronize any online registration portal set up with unknown motives by fifth columnists.”
