    Kogi flood: APC chieftain’s wife , LGA chairman, rally support for flood victims

    The wife of the All Progressive Congress, APC candidate for Kogi west, Mrs Stella Karimi and Executive Chairman Lokoja local government, Muhammed Dansabe have added their voices to the growing calls on well meaning Nigerians to assist the flood victims in Kogi state.

    The duo spoke separately on Monday while on a visit to victims in Adankolo area in Lokoja,and Koton-Karfe to present some relief materials to the victims of the devastation.

    Karimis said that the level of devastation in the area were so enormous that the state government alone would not be able to provide for every house affected by the ravaging flood.

    ” I am happy that President Muhamadu Buhari has made a prouncement about the flood which means he will come something about it but I will also call on well meaning Nigerians, particularly Kogites who are well to do and there are many of them to come home and assist in whatever way they can” she said.

    Also speaking shortly after the presentation of the relief materials, Chairman, Lokoja local government area, Muhammed Dansabe called on Kogites not to leave Governnent alone to it.

    ” This is the time your people need you,come home and see them and show concern and love to them, nothing is too small,they need All the help they can get at this critical moment.” He Said.

    Various items were distributed including food such bags of rice,gari,indomie noodles, and anti malaria drugs.

    Mrs Karimi also made similar donation at Lokongoma, Gadumo and Koto-Nkarfe where the flood was more pronounced.
