In a decisive effort to reinforce peace and stability, the Executive Chairman of Jaba Local Government Area, Larai Sylvia Ishaku, on Tuesday presided over a high-level security meeting with key stakeholders across the region.

The meeting, held at the council secretariat, brought together security agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders, and youth representatives to deliberate on proactive measures aimed at sustaining harmony and preventing potential security threats within the area.

Addressing participants, Hon. Ishaku emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining peace, noting that security is a shared duty that requires cooperation between government authorities and local communities. She reiterated her administration’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property while fostering unity among the diverse groups in Jaba LGA.

“Our strength lies in our unity. We must remain vigilant, support our security agencies, and continue to promote dialogue and understanding among our people,” she stated.

Security officials at the meeting provided updates on the current situation in the area and outlined strategies to improve intelligence gathering, rapid response, and community policing efforts. Traditional leaders also pledged their support in mobilizing grassroots participation and promoting peaceful coexistence.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to work collaboratively in addressing emerging challenges and ensuring that Jaba Local Government Area remains a safe and peaceful environment for all residents.

Observers say the initiative reflects a growing emphasis on community-driven security approaches in Kaduna State, as local governments intensify efforts to complement broader state and national security frameworks.
