I’m Prepared to Celebrate If Supreme Court Rejects Obi’s Appeal,” Reno Rebukes ‘Obidients’

Reno Omokri, a former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, has expressed his readiness to celebrate if the Supreme Court dismisses the appeal filed by the Labour Party’s candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, from the February 2023 general election.

Using his Twitter handle on the X platform, Omokri criticized the ‘Obidients’ for being erratic, insulting, and lacking self-control when it comes to significant matters. He noted that these individuals had mocked and insulted the Chief Justice of Nigeria and his colleagues.

Omokri pointed out that the ‘Obidients’ had made insulting caricatures of the Supreme Court justices and had promoted disrespectful narratives and rhetoric against them, turning a portion of the public against the judges with unfounded conspiracy theories regarding bribery.

He urged them to practice self-control, strategic thinking, and the importance of measured actions. He emphasized that today’s critics could become tomorrow’s allies, and those who were condemned today might need commendation in the future.

He also humorously mentioned that he was already practicing the dance he would perform if Obi’s appeal is dismissed, calling it “Obito Continua.”
