The management of Verbatim News Network Limited, Publishers of Abuja based Verbatim news magazine and Verbatim Online Newspaper will tomorrow Thursday 20th October 2022 honour some corporate organisations and individuals with integrity in public service awards to mark its 10th year anniversary.

Verbatim editors were formally staff of the defunct Newswatch magazine edited by Ray Egbu and Dan Agbese

Top on the corporate award category are the well known and performance oriented Infrastructure Concesdion Regulatory Commission ( ICRC) under the able leadership of Barr Mike Ohiani and the Nigerian Electricity Management Services agency (NEMSA) led by youthful Engr Aliyu Tukur Tahir and charged with the responsibility of regulating electrical cables, materials and equipments and ensuring that Nigerians enjoy safe, stable and reliable power supply.

The awards will be received on behalf of the organisations by their chief executives

Incidentally, both CEOS were appointed this year by president Muhammadu Buhari but the sterling performance of the organisations under their brief tenure speak volumes justifying the popular statement that it is not how long in office but how well.

Other organisations are the National Examinations Council (NECO), the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) and the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE to be represented by their Chief Executives

Two governors, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State and Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State are winners of the prestigious Governor of the Year award

In the case of Governor Matawale , the Publisher of Verbatim stated that the Board of Editors  made him a co-Governor of the Year award winner, ‘’in full recognition and appreciation of his numerous achievements in issues about security and the delivery of other dividends of democracy in Zamfara state’’.

The Publisher/Editor-in-Chief also announced Timipre Sylva, Minister of State for Petroleum as most outstanding Minister of the decade,  and five agencies of the federal government as award winners in Integrity in Service category.
