Angered by biting and harsh economic situation, hundreds of people in Port Harcourt , Rivers State capital yesterday took to the streets of the metropolis bemoaning the state of affairs in the country.
The protesters who were generally peaceful chanted “Tinubu must go” as they complained about hunger, insecurity, and worsening economic conditions in the country.
The protesters moved through major roads in Port Harcourt without any visible leadership or security presence.
The demonstrators who were carrying placards with various inscriptions marched from the UTC Junction on Azikiwe road to Abali Park to Garrison Junction, all on Aba Road, chanting “Tinubu must go.”
They decried the level of hunger and insecurity in the country which they blamed government for not doing anything to improve the situation.
They were very orderly with no identifiable leadership and there was no security presence accompanying or harassing them as they marched with no apparent defined destination or any spokesperson.
Some business operators within the areas they marched through kept hailing them as well as commercial vehicle drivers who did not disturb their movement.
