The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has directed all registered intending pilgrims for the 2027 hajj to submit their valid passports on or before August 7 to facilitate travel documents.
The Director-General of the board, Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle, gave the directive in a statement signed by the board’s spokesman, Suleiman Dederi, on Tuesday.
“The submission commenced on August 3 to enable the board to begin documentation and other administrative processes required for the 2027 Hajj exercise.
”Early submission of passports is necessary to ensure timely processing of travel documents and compliance with the deadline set by relevant authorities,” Ibrahim-Matawalle said.
He urged all registered intending pilgrims to submit their passports within the stipulated period to avoid delays in processing their hajj documentation.
The Director-General reaffirmed the board’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and hitch-free hajj operation. He appealed to pilgrims to cooperate with the board throughout the preparation process.
