Governor Bago suspends other aides, chief of staff

    Published on

Three senior aides have been suspended immediately by Niger State Governor Mohamed Umaru Bago.
His Chief Details, Director General of Protocol Abdullahi Yerima, and Chief of Staff Abdullahi Usman Gbatamagi are among the impacted authorities. Alleged ineptitude was the reason for their suspension.

At a State Council meeting held at Government House in Minna, Governor Bago made the announcement. The suspended aides, who had just traveled with him on official business to Lagos and Abuja, were taken aback by the action.

According to sources, the suspension will be in place for a month. Alhaji Abubakar Usman, the Secretary to the State Government, has been directed by the Governor to promptly issue official letters of suspension.

The decision has not yet been the subject of an official declaration.
