‎The sector commander, Kehinde Dahunsi, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday. The sector commander said that 24 patrol vehicles, two ambulances, and one heavy-duty tow truck would also be deployed for the exercise.

‎According to him, the command plans to carry out a 24-hour rescue operation throughout the celebration for road crash victims. He added that it would also clear gridlock-prone areas of traffic while ensuring that vehicles were not overloaded with passengers or goods.

‎The sector commander further stated that the command would carry out intensive public enlightenment for fleet operators and at motor parks to educate motorists and passengers.

‎“Eid-el-Kabir is the second of two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide each year. It honours the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son, Isma’il, as an act of obedience to Almighty Allah, the Creator of the world.
