Prof. Joseph Ayodele, Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University (EKSU), emphasized the pursuit of excellence in academic endeavors during the matriculation ceremony for the 2024 Sandwich Degree programme. Addressing new students in Ado Ekiti on Monday, Ayodele urged them to prioritize their academic work above all other activities, quoting, “faith without work is dead.”

He encouraged the students to utilize the university’s main campus facilities, such as the library and laboratories, and reassured them that those in the Sandwich programme are on equal footing with their counterparts in regular programs. Ayodele also stressed the importance of adhering to the matriculation oath and avoiding any unethical behavior that could negatively impact their academic progress or the university’s reputation.

The matriculation oath was administered by EKSU Registrar, Mr. Ife Oluwole, officially marking the beginning of the students’ academic journey at EKSU.
