Nigerian Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has announced that he and his wife, Chioma, will hold their white wedding ceremony this year.

According to reports, this announcement comes nearly a year after the couple’s lavish traditional wedding, which took place at Eko Hotels in Lagos.

In a recent interview on The Breakfast Club, Davido revealed that the white wedding is scheduled for August 2025 and will be held in Miami.

“I’m doing my white wedding in Miami, in August this year,” he said. “Our traditional marriage shut down Nigeria because our relationship has always been under public scrutiny, and we’ve been through a lot—including the loss of our child.”

Meanwhile, Davido also shared a personal story during the interview, recounting how American rapper 50 Cent once rejected his request for a photo.

He explained that the encounter took place in Las Vegas during a birthday celebration for his older brother when he was still a teenager. Despite his excitement, 50 Cent declined to take a picture with him.

Davido added that he later reminded the rapper of the incident after rising to fame in the music industry.
