Music superstar Davido made a bold and unconventional request at his highly-anticipated wedding ceremony at Eko Hotel, Lagos, asking guests to shower him with Bitcoin, the popular cryptocurrency, as a wedding gift.

This unique request quickly sparked significant attention on social media, with many users discussing the innovative approach to wedding gifts.

During the ceremony, the master of ceremony, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, initially announced that gifts could be presented in other currencies such as pounds, euros, or dollars. However, Davido took the microphone and added a surprising twist, stating that he also accepts Bitcoin transfers.

He jokingly emphasized his preference for immediate gifts, saying, “I’m accepting Bitcoin as a gift if you can’t spray naira and I no want OBO I go give you tomorrow, I no want that one.”

The wedding was a star-studded event that attracted dignitaries from various fields, including politics, entertainment, and traditional leadership.
