The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has broken its silence regarding the ongoing face-off between Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, and his Deputy, Philip Shaibu, calling for an immediate ceasefire.

In a statement, the PDP expressed concern over the escalating tensions and urged both parties to seek an amicable resolution to their differences. The party emphasized the need for unity within its ranks and called on all members to work together in the interest of the party and the people of Edo State.

The PDP’s intervention comes amid growing concerns about the impact of the conflict on the stability of the state and the party’s prospects in future elections. The party’s call for a ceasefire is seen as a step towards resolving the internal dispute and restoring harmony within its ranks.
