Nigerian-born England international, Bukayo Saka, has etched his name into the Premier League history books by equaling a significant record following Arsenal’s commanding 6-0 win over Sheffield United on Monday night, March 4.

In the match, Saka showcased his playmaking prowess by providing an assist for Declan Rice’s goal in the 39th minute, which marked Arsenal’s fifth goal of the encounter.

This assist marked a milestone for the 22-year-old winger, as it was his 50th assist in the Premier League since November 2018. Notably, Saka had already scored 50 goals in the Premier League before the Sheffield United clash. With his 50th assist, he has now joined an elite group of players who have achieved both 50 goals and 50 assists in the history of the Premier League.

The esteemed list includes Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min, Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, former Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez, and City’s iconic midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

What makes Saka’s achievement even more remarkable is that he reached this milestone within six years of professional football and six months before his 23rd birthday. Additionally, he holds the distinction of achieving this record at the youngest age compared to the other players who accomplished the feat before him. This suggests that there is immense potential for further achievements from the talented England international
