    Bayelsa-based guards firm denies involvement in job scam

    A Yenagoa-based private security firm, Wis-South Security Company Limited has denied involvement in unauthorized recruitment exercises and also job scams.

    It was learnt that operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps ,(NSCDC) as part of its regulatory functions on private guards in the country quizzed the company and found the allegations to be false.

    A statement issued by the management of the security firm signed by Mr Emmanuel Oru said the allegations against the company has been investigated and found to be false and baseless and the company given a clean bill of health by the regulatory authorities.

    The company stated that it is licenced and regulated by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) and operates within established operational regulations within the ambit of the law.

    The company regretted that the false allegations was misleading and commended the NSCDC for a thorough investigation which absolved and vindicated Eis-South Security.

    “The general public should know that Wis-South Security Company Limited is a private guard company duly registered and licenced by the Ministry of Interior through the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps to operate as a private guard company.

    “As a reputable organisation operating under the supervision of the NSCDC, we follow all due processes in all our operations.

    “Our training and retraining programmes is being moderated by the regulatory authority, NSCDC.

    “The NSCDC has been of great assistance to Wis-South Security Company both in its supervisory and regulatory roles of private guard security companies in the state and the Nation at large,” the statement read in part.

    Wis-South Security Company Limited restated its commitment to its mandate and pledged to work in close relationship with the NSCDC, the statutory regulatory agency of private guard security in the nation.
