    ASUU EXTENDS STRIKE AGAIN

    The Academic staff Union of Universities ( ASUU) has again extended its ongoing industrial action, Dailynewscraft.ng can authoritatively report

    The latest action of the nation’s public university lecturers’ union, came after its National Executive Council, NEC meeting held in Abuja.

    The meeting which began late Sunday at the University of Abuja’s headquarters of ASUU, ended early Monday morning with the resolution that the strike be rolled over.

    A source at the meeting told dailynewscraft that “after a series of a heated discussions, the Academic Staff Union of Universities has decided to extend its ongoing strike”

    ASUU had declared the commencement of a strike on Monday, February 14, 2022, at the University of Lagos.
    Before Sunday meeting Hope’s were high that the strike will be called off following several meetings the union leadership had with federal government officials

    Last week its sister organisations SSASANU and NASU suspended their strike for three months fuelling speculations that the lecturers will tow same path
