    Alleged Rape: Moses Armstrong Granted Bail

    Embattled Nollywood Actor, Moses Armstrong who is standing trial over alleged Rape of a 16 year old Girl has been granted bail by a High Court sitting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

    His release on Wednesday excited many of his friends and colleagues who were seen jubilating in the Court premises.

    The victim, a minor who said to be schooling abroad had cried out to the state government through the office of the First Lady which undertook to make sure she got justice.

    Armstrong had also been suspended by the Actors Guild of Nigeria ( AGN) over the scandalous act.

    He is a popular Actor who has starred in many Movies.

    On June 20, the Police in Akwa Ibom state confirmed the arrest of Armstrong through a press release by the state
    Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Odiko Macdon.

    The PRO said Armstrong was nabbed on June 9, for allegedly defiling a 16-year-old girl in the state

    “We have done our preliminary findings and the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) has taken over the case,” he noted.

    Macdon disclosed that the thespian was no longer with the command as he was taken to court on June 20 by the DPP and remanded

    Until his arrest, Armstrong was a Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel.

    He is the second know nollywood actor to be charged for rape after Baba Ijesha

    Efforts to get his comments on this development proved abortive.
