The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State has formed a reconciliation committee to address internal divisions within the party and strengthen its position ahead of the 2027 elections. The committee, led by Senator Muhammed Mana, was announced during a courtesy visit to the APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, in Abuja on Thursday night.
The eight-member committee includes influential figures such as Senators Bello Tukur, Abubakar Girei, Binta Masi, Yusuf Yakubu, Dr. Bridget Zidon, and Isa Baba, who serves as Secretary. The committee aims to resolve the ongoing crisis within the state chapter of the party, where various factions have emerged following internal disagreements.
Senator Mana, speaking after a closed-door meeting, outlined the committee’s mission to address internal disputes, unify members, and strengthen the party’s grassroots presence. He emphasized the importance of engaging aggrieved members, particularly those who felt sidelined during the primaries and general elections.
“Adamawa is a critical state, and we are committed to ensuring APC wins majority seats in 2027,” Mana stated. He also assured that the committee would begin its outreach efforts immediately, focusing on the unit, ward, and local government levels to foster unity and prepare future party leaders.
Senator Masi expressed confidence in the committee’s success, adding, “The battle line has been drawn, and by Allah’s grace, we will replicate our past successes in 2027.” With a clear focus on reclaiming the state from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the committee is determined to rally the APC for a victorious return in the next election cycle.
