Renowned Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, has recently delivered a veiled message seemingly directed at a fellow actress, widely speculated to be Toyin Abraham. The latter has faced challenges promoting her movie, “Ijakumo The Born Again Stripper,” due to her support for BAT (Bola Ahmed Tinubu). Taking to her Twitter account, Funke Akindele advises the unnamed colleague to refrain from coveting what belongs to others for ill intentions. She encourages her to instead appreciate and pray for her own blessings without envy, emphasizing that there is ample room for success for everyone. Akindele concludes by stating that each individual should focus on their own endeavors, as the sky is vast and accommodating.
Toyin Abraham expresses frustration over criticism of her latest film
In a separate development, Toyin Abraham has voiced her concern regarding a coordinated attempt to undermine her recent work. The actress, who openly supported Bola Ahmed Tinubu, reveals that her endorsement has come at a high cost, with several individuals attempting to tarnish her reputation. Abraham discloses that various WhatsApp groups have been formed specifically to disparage her movie, “Ijakumo the Born Again Stripper.” She questions the notion that her political affiliations should be considered a crime, stating her intent to expose the motives behind the smear campaign. Abraham maintains that everyone possesses flaws and urges those involved to reflect on their own actions.
