In the early hours of Saturday, armed men launched an attack on the Mashafa area of Mpape in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
During the operation that lasted approximately an hour, the gunmen abducted at least four residents, targeting specific individuals, according to a local resident identified as Zack. He stated that the armed men broke into the victims’ houses separately and forcibly took them away.
Zack described the gunmen as heavily armed, with the sound of their guns resonating loudly in the area. The selection of their targets suggested that they had specific individuals in mind. Among the kidnapped individuals, there was an Executive Officer of a logistics company, a manager of a prominent bakery, a manager of an oil dump company, and an employee of a construction company.
When contacted for a statement, the FCT spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, assured that she would provide further information but had not done so at the time of filing this report.
