The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) is set to introduce a new scheduling pattern, with league matches expected to be played on Friday evenings, early Saturdays and Sundays.
The new arrangement is expected to provide greater flexibility in the scheduling of NPFL fixtures while also creating more opportunities for fans to follow league matches across the weekend.
As part of the new schedule, Shooting Stars will host Ranchers Bees at 6:00pm on Friday, October 16, in what is expected to be one of the first Friday evening fixtures under the new arrangement.
The introduction of Friday night football could add a new dimension to the NPFL, with clubs potentially benefiting from increased attendance and greater visibility for their matches.
Further details on the implementation of the new kickoff schedule are expected as the league season progresses.
