Security operations in Edo State have also produced a breakthrough after police rescued 66-year-old Obareki Emmanuel from kidnappers in Ibeakuma Forest.
The victim was reportedly abducted alongside his wife, who had earlier been rescued unharmed.
Police said the latest rescue followed sustained intelligence-led operations and bush-combing of the forest.
Investigators are continuing efforts to apprehend the fleeing kidnappers.
