A faction of the Kogi state chapter of the African Democratic Congress, ADC has declared Barrister Dele Bello Williams as it’s flagbearer in the Governorship Election scheduled for November 2023.

In an indirect primary Election held on Sunday in Lokoja, delete unanimously affirmed the choice of Dele Bello Williams ,the candidate as duely elect to fly the parties flag in November.

Dele Bello Williams was the Senatorial Candidate of the party in Kogi West in the last general election but lost to the All Progressive Congress APC candidate, Sunday Karimi

Punch reports that the Lawmaker representing Yagba Federal Constituency, Leke Abejide won the governorship Primary election of the party in another faction held on Saturday

ADC Delegates from the 21 Local Government areas off the state converged at Lily Grand Hotel for the primary election to affirm the candidacy of Dele Bello as the flag bearer of the Party in the forthcoming Kogi Governorship Election.

The Returning Officer of the election and the Acting National Secretary of the party, Kennedy Odion declared Barrister Dele Bello Williams as the winner and the governorship Candidate of the party after the delegates had already affirmed him as the candidate of the party.

Security Agents as well as officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the representatives of the National Working Committee of Labour Party were present for the exercise.

The governorship candidate thanked the delegates and officials of the party for entrusting him with the mandate of the party.

“I am grateful to you all for giving me the mandate to fly out party’s flag in November, I will not disappoint you,I will justify the confidence you all have in me” he said.
