The family of former Anambra State APC Publicity Secretary, Arc. Okelo Madukaife, has announced the passing of their matriarch, Mrs. Dorah Njideka Madukaife (Odoziaku), née Anyaegbu, who died at the age of 87.
In a funeral announcement titled “Transition to Glory,” the family expressed gratitude to God for a fulfilled life, noting that the late Mrs. Madukaife passed on peacefully in her sleep.
According to the statement, the deceased was the wife of the late Ichie Godwin Nwabunwanne Madukaife of Amangwu, Nkwelle Ogidi, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
She was also linked with the family of James Anyaegbu of Umuazu Abacha, Anambra State.
Described as a respected educationist, Mrs. Madukaife retired as a school principal and was said to have positively impacted numerous lives during her lifetime.
She was also noted for her community leadership roles, including her involvement in the Amangwu Women Family Meeting and other local organisations.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members.
The burial arrangement, as announced by the family, is scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2026.
The funeral procession will depart Ogidi Mortuary with a brief stop at the Anyaegbu family compound in Umuazu Abacha before proceeding to her residence at Amangwu, Nkwelle Ogidi by 6:30am.
A funeral service will hold at the compound of the late Chief Godwin Nwabunwanne, Amangwu, Nkwelle Ogidi, by 9:00am.
The outing service is scheduled for Sunday, May 31, 2026, at St. Phillips Anglican Church, Ogidi, during the second service at 9:00am.
The family, through Arc. Okelo Madukaife, signed the announcement, describing the deceased as a devoted mother whose legacy of service and community leadership
will be fondly remembered.
