Governor Zulum Reacts To Maiduguri Explosion

    Published on

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has called on residents to stay calm after bomb explosions hit parts of Maiduguri.

The incident happened on Monday when explosions were reported in different areas of the city, leaving several people injured.

The blasts caused fear among residents as many ran for safety, while emergency workers rushed to the affected locations to help victims and take control of the situation.

In a statement released the same day, the Borno State governor strongly condemned the attacks, describing them as cruel and unacceptable.

He said it was wrong for anyone to target innocent people and places where people gather to worship, especially during a period when many Muslims are engaged in religious activities.

Zulum also expressed sympathy to families who were affected by the incident and wished those injured a quick recovery.

He urged residents not to panic but to remain alert in their daily activities.

The governor advised communities to be more watchful in public places such as mosques, churches, markets and other crowded areas, as part of efforts to prevent further attacks.

He added that security agencies have already started investigating the explosions and are working to identify those behind it. He assured residents that those responsible will be arrested and made to face the law.
