“The six-month ICT Training Programme and Laptop Empowerment Initiative is fully funded by the Tantita and delivered in partnership with the Tompolo Foundation through PEB ICT Services,” he said.

Pondi acknowledged the relevance of the digital skills in the today’s technology-driven world.

He said that the programme was guided by the facts that digital skills had became very essential for employment, entrepreneurship and global competitiveness.

“Over a six-month period, one hundred participants underwent intensive training in key ICT areas, including computer applications, web development, graphics design, cyber security and data analysis.

“These skills are globally relevant and provide a strong foundation for self-reliance and meaningful economic participation,” he said.

Pondi noted that beyond training, Tantita was also concerned about the sustainability of the programme, hence the provision of Laptops for the participants to work and earned meaningful living.

“By removing the barriers of access to ICT equipment, we are ensuring that the knowledge acquired in the programme can be put to immediate and productive use,” he said.

The managing director expressed satisfaction at the outcome of the programme, noting that the participants demonstrated growth in competence, confidence and readiness for the digital workplace.

Pondi, while commending the PEB ICT Services for their professionalism and quality delivery, said that the programme reflects the power of collaboration.

He acknowledged the Tompolo Foundation for it’s enduring commitment to human capital development and reaffirmed Tantita’s utmost commitment to initiative that empowered the teeming youth.

Pondi urged the beneficiaries to use the Laptops wisely to add values to their lives, communities and the nation at large.

He, however, said that Tantita was equipping the young minds with the right tools to compete and succeed at the global level

“Through initiative like this, we are shaping a stronger and more prosperous digital future for Nigeria,” Pondi said.

On his part, the Chief Executive Officer of PEB ICT Services, Dr Paul Bebenimibo, lauded Tantita and the Tompolo Foundation for sustaining the programme.

Bebenimibo described the initiative as a practical model for tackling youth unemployment through skills acquisition.

“We commend Tantita for it’s commitment to youth empowerment and for fully funding this programme.

“We are proud to have delivered quality training to these young people, and we look forward to expanding the initiative to other parts of the country,” he said.
