    Court Remands FUL Staff For alleged N4m Fraud

    A 46 Year-old Staff of the Federal University Lokoja, (FUL) Kennedy Wilfred was on Friday remanded in Kabba Custodian Centre for an alleged frau amounting to N4 million

    The Accused was arraigned by the Department of State Security Service DSS before the Chief Magistrate Court 3 sitting in Lokoja, presided over by Mohammed Yakubu.

    The accused who was charged on four count charge of criminal breach of trust, cheating, forgery, forging documents however pleaded not guilty to the charges.

    The accused, a 46year old staff of the ICT Unit of the Federal University Lokoja, allegedly scammed students of money amounting to the sum of N4m as school fees.

    The accused was alleged to have issued fake receipts to the students but was however, discovered during examination that the students did not pay their school fees.

    The FIR further explain that the money belonging to 34 students was collected by the accused person on the pretext of helping them to generate Remita codes

    The Chief Magistrate, Mohammed Yakubu therefore ordered the accused to be remanded at Kabba correctional centre till February 6th, 2023
