    Kogi police to commence tinted glass permit enforcement October 2nd

    The Kogi state police command has said that the enforcement of the tinted glass permit would commence on Thursday,2nd October.

    This was contained in a statement issued in Tuesday by the command’s spokesman,SP William Aya and made available to newsmen in Lokoja.

    “Nigeria Police Force, Kogi State Command wishes to inform the general public, particularly Kogi State indigenes and residence that the nationwide enforcement of tinted glass permit is commencing on 2nd October, 2025. This is in line with the Motor Vehicles Prohibition of Tinted Glass Act, 2004, and it’s significance to national security considerations.” The statement read in part.

    According to him, the order is consequent on the expiration of grace period earlier extended by the police authority.

    He said that The grace period provides vehicle owners more time to obtain their tinted glass permit in compliance with national regulations.

    The command urges all Kogites to cooperate with the enforcement officers and ensure total compliance with the order. As vehicles with tinted window glasses shall require to present valid permit during the exercise.
