The Executive Chairman of Jema’a Local Government Area, Hon. Peter Tanko Dogara, has commended the Igbo community in the council for their unwavering commitment and notable contributions to the growth and development of the area.
Speaking during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Igbo community on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Council Secretariat in Kafanchan, Hon. Dogara described their presence as a testament to their dedication to making Jema’a their home and a hub of entrepreneurial advancement.
He reiterated his administration’s readiness to collaborate with all communities working for the progress of the area, and assured the Igbo community of continued partnership. He further urged them to sustain their support for the developmental strides of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani.
Leading the delegation, Chief Emmanuel Eze, President of the Igbo Association in Kaduna South Senatorial District, lauded the Chairman for his visible achievements in peace building, security, and infrastructure since assuming office.
Chief Eze also revealed that the community plans to honour Governor Uba Sani and Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, with traditional titles, while Hon. Dogara would receive a special award in recognition of his exemplary leadership.
The honours will be presented during the forthcoming New Yam Festival (Iri Ji Celebration), which he said would further promote peace, unity, and cultural heritage.
The delegation concluded the visit by presenting the Council Chairman with a gift and an official invitation to the festival, reaffirming their commitment to continued collaboration and mutual growth.
