UK-based Nigerian media personality Adesope “Shopsydoo” Olajide has called for greater recognition of British-Ghanaian artist Fuse ODG.

Appearing on the In My Opinion podcast, he described Fuse as a “pioneer of Afrobeat’s global rise” and accused the industry of overlooking his impact due to his calm, non-confrontational nature.

“He had the first Afrobeat arena tour in the UK, worked with Ed Sheeran, and helped birth the Azonto wave with Killbeatz,” Adesope said.

He also praised Fuse’s Pan-African activism, noting his public criticism of figures like Bob Geldof.
