    CYMS Celebrates Hon. Shekwolo victory as APC Bwari Chairmanship flag bearer

    The Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS) has issued a congratulatory statement following the election victory of Hon. Haruna Shekwolo Audi in the recently concluded Federal Capital Territory (FCT) APC primary elections. The group hailed the outcome as a win for democracy and applauded the leadership of APC in the National and Bwari LGA for their firm belief, unbiased and trust in his personality to hold the ticket.

    In a press statement signed by Chief Obinna Nwaka, Director General of CYMS, the organization extended warm congratulations to Hon. Shekwolo, describing his victory as a “well-earned” milestone, party loyalty and a reflection of his commitment to Renewed Hope administration.

    “Hon. Shekwolo’s victory as the flag bearer of the party come 2026 FCT Area Council election is a testament to his dedication, hard work, and the confidence placed in him by his Area Council” the statement read. “We trust that he will deliver in line with the promises of the Renewed Hope administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR policy with integrity, embrace inclusivity, Youth and women empowerment and champion youth-oriented policies that drive development in Bwari and the FCT.”

    CYMS also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for observing and upholding the dignity of the institution, noting that the emergence of the candidature of Shekwolo is truly the expectance of the APC in Bwari and FCT at large due to his consistency and sacrifice to the party, the process is a “significant indicator of our democracy’s growth and maturity.”

    The All Progressives Congress (APC), under which Hon. Shekwolo is contesting, and has also been praised for maintaining internal unity and upholding democratic values by salvaging the challenges and restoring the mandate of the political stakeholders of the party in the Bwari Area Council.

    Hon. Haruna Shekwolo Audi, a grassroots politician known for his community outreach and youth empowerment initiatives, is expected to bring a renewed focus to issues affecting young people, infrastructure development, and inclusive governance in the Bwari Area Council FCT, Abuja

    As he prepares to go into the main election come February 2026, CYMS expressed hope that his victory is assured, he would “usher in progress and prosperity” and inspire more young Nigerians to engage in politics and nation-building.

    The FCT APC primary elections have been widely regarded as a litmus test for the party Stakeholders and democratic institutions, with many observers applauding the peaceful resolutions and capacity of the flag bearers of the party from the Six (6) Area Councils.

    CYMS’s Director General, Chief Obinna Nwaka concluded by urging the political party Stakeholders especially the aggrieve members to embrace peace, accept his candidature, call for internal democracy and avoid any form of anti party, that Shekwolo’s victory is for the Youth.
