Israeli airstrike said to have killed 19 people at  UN-run hospital in Gaza

    Published on

A hospital run by the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees has reportedly been hit by an Israeli airstrike in northern Gaza.

According to local media, the strike on Jabalia today claimed the lives of about 19 individuals, including nine youngsters, and injured others.

According to an Israeli military spokesperson, the allegation is being looked into.

According to NAN, a fire broke out in the hospital while internally displaced persons were nearby.

According to the report, rescue crews in Khan Younis retrieved the bodies of 12 individuals, including women and children, from the debris after another incident in Gaza claimed four lives.

A weeks-long dispute over prolonging the ceasefire that stopped combat between Israel and the Palestinian organization Hamas in January came to an end last month when the Israeli military struck sites around Gaza.

Tom Fletcher, the head of the UN’s humanitarian affairs office, responded to the devastating news of Israel’s fatal attacks on Gaza after the strikes.
