    Joint Committee on Budget Defence Exonerates JAMB Registrar of Misappropriation

    Joint Committee on Finance has exonerated professor Ishaq Oloyede, the registrar of The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board of Misappropriation of Funds during its budget defence on Monday.
    In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Finance, Senator Sani Musa, on Wednesday, the Committee states thus

    “For the purpose of clarity, the comprehensive report provided by JAMB indicates that the line items mentioned during Monday’s hearing on revenue do not suggest any mismanagement or misuse of the Board’s funds. On the contrary, the report highlights the responsible and prudent use of resources under the leadership of the Registrar.
    The Senate Committee on Finance made the clarifications on Wednesday, following the misrepresentation in media reports .
    The Finance Committee in a statement made available to news said that
    “The Registrar Professor Is-haq Oloyede, deserves commendation for demonstrating financial discipline and accountability in managing the Board’s resources effectively. This level of stewardship serves as a model for public institutions across the nation.”
    Recall that some media House had hurriedly selected a portion of the documented budget Defence document to misrepresent the Committee while the budget defence was not concluded
