Davido explains why Nigerians would rather give birth outside

    Published on

Musician Davido has revealed what he thinks is the driving force behind Nigerians looking to give birth overseas.

Nigerians from the elite and middle classes are increasingly giving birth to their children overseas.

Davido asserted in a recent episode of The Morning Hustle podcast that giving birth overseas is similar to purchasing insurance.

He claimed that, among other things, children born overseas have access to opportunities, foreign citizenship, high-quality education, and health care.

Nigerians are increasingly giving birth elsewhere. People want to have their children abroad to avoid the inconvenience of applying for visas, in addition to the fact that other countries have superior [medical] facilities,” he stated.
