Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has emphasized the importance of integrity and ethical conduct among Nigerian students, advising them to steer clear of forgery and other corrupt practices.

Olukoyede delivered this message during the inauguration of an Integrity Club at Arewa Schools, Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, highlighting diversion of funds, embezzlement, stealing, bribery, and forgery as examples of corrupt behaviors that hinder national progress.

Represented by the commission’s Deputy Director of Public Affairs Department, Nwanyinma Okeanu, Olukoyede underscored the detrimental impact of such practices on the country’s development over the years. He urged students to reject these behaviors, emphasizing the importance of upholding integrity and ethical standards.

The EFCC’s campaign against forgery and corruption is particularly relevant amidst ongoing controversies surrounding the authenticity of Bola Tinubu’s academic credentials. Despite the Supreme Court’s dismissal of fresh evidence regarding Tinubu’s certificate forgery allegations, public scrutiny persists, reflecting broader concerns about transparency and accountability in governance.
