Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has petitioned the Federal High Court to relocate him to Kuje prison from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).

Kanu alleged that the DSS lacks adequate medical facilities to address his health issues, expressing concerns over a perceived conspiracy for his demise while in DSS custody.

“I am denied visitors, and there is no medical facility. I suffer from congestive heart failure, and they are merely providing temporary solutions,” Kanu stated. He further revealed complications such as swelling in his foot, for which he had requested surgery, but was denied.

Expressing his apprehension, Kanu emphasized, “There seems to be a deliberate effort to endanger my life while in detention. I request to be transferred to Kuje prison.”

Further details on this development are anticipated.
