    Nigerian Military Fully Equipped to Neutralize Armed Groups, Says Gov. Sule

    Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State expressed confidence in the capabilities of the Nigerian Army to effectively tackle and dismantle all armed factions disrupting the nation’s peace.

    Speaking during the 2023 West African Social Activities organized by the Nigerian Army’s IV Special Forces command in Doma Local Government Area of the state, Governor Sule commended the army and other security agencies for their relentless efforts in combating kidnapping, banditry, and other security challenges across the country.

    Governor Sule specifically praised the Special Forces personnel for their dedication in combating criminal elements within Nasarawa State. He highlighted the significance of the annual social event, WASA, organized by the military to foster unity among officers and their families, emphasizing its role in strengthening bonds across diverse ethnic groups within the military.

    The governor emphasized that WASA provides a platform for officers and soldiers to interact, celebrate their cultures, and showcase their traditions, reflecting the commitment of the Nigerian Army to promote camaraderie among its ranks.

    Assuring the military of the state government’s unwavering support, Governor Sule acknowledged the vital role of the IV Special Forces in various operations, including air-bound missions, counter-insurgency, counter-terrorism, and unconventional warfare. He pledged continued support from the state administration, including the provision of security vehicles for surveillance, to enhance the protection of lives and property.

    Governor Sule concluded by honoring the sacrifices made by security personnel in service to the nation and reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of citizens through collaboration with security agencies.
