    Police confirms rescue of kidnapped Abuja bound GIG and ABC travellers

    The Kogi state police command has confirmed the release of 14 Abuja bound travellers kidnapped last Friday.

    The victims who were traveling in two buses belonging to God is good motors ,GIG and ABC transports were kidnapped last Friday at Inyenle, Ogugu in Olamaboro local government area of Kogi state

    The police public relations officer, SP William Aya who confirmed the development on Thursday however could not say if any ransome was paid.

    He also did not provide details of how the victims regained their freedoms but said it was a combined efforts of Military,police,hunters and vigilantes that led to the rescue operation.

    “I can confirm that all the kidnapped victims of God is Good Motors and ABC transports have regained freedom
    Although whether ransome was paid was not mentioned.”Aya said.

    Punch reports that the GIG bus left Umuahia at 7:30 am last Friday and was hijacked at Inyenle, Ogugu in Kogi state.

    The God is good ,GIG motors and the ABC transports were headed to Abuja with 14 Passangers who were all adopted in Inyenle.
