In a noteworthy achievement, Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has secured the title of Nigeria’s most-streamed artist for the year 2023 on Spotify. The streaming platform unveiled this accolade in data released on Wednesday.

Asake’s dominance is further highlighted by the fact that three of his songs claimed spots in the top 10 list of the most-streamed tracks on Spotify in Nigeria. His track ‘Lonely at the Top’ claimed the pinnacle, securing the top spot, while ‘2:30’ landed at the fourth position, and ‘Amapiano,’ a collaboration with Olamide, secured the tenth spot.

In the 2023 Spotify Wrapped for Nigeria, Asake emerged at the forefront, surpassing other prominent artists. Burna Boy secured the second position, and Davido claimed the third spot. Seyi Vibez, Omah Lay, BNXN, Rema, Odumodublvck, Olamide, and Wizkid rounded out the top ten, showcasing the diverse range of musical talents on the Nigerian music scene.

In addition to his success in Nigeria, Asake also achieved recognition as the most-streamed artist in Togo and Ghana, solidifying his influence across borders.
