The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his Supreme Court victory. He expressed his congratulations following the Supreme Court’s decision, which concluded all the litigations that followed President Tinubu’s emergence in the February 25, 2023 elections.

Governor Umo Eno, who leads a People’s Democratic Party (PDP)-controlled state, pledged his commitment to aligning with President Tinubu’s administration to attract development to Akwa Ibom State. He made this statement during a “Thank You Meeting” with Christian leaders in the state.

The governor also assured the Christian leaders and the people of Akwa Ibom that his administration would continue to lead a united and prosperous state, emphasizing that his government would use available resources efficiently for the benefit of the people, especially in the face of economic challenges caused by the removal of oil subsidy.

He encouraged the church community to remain united and avoid divisive ethnic sentiments, emphasizing the importance of a unified church for the state’s progress.

The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Akwa Ibom State, Bishop Christian Nyong, commended Governor Umo Eno for his leadership efforts and highlighted the church’s support for the present administration in the state, led by one of its own.
