During his visit to Headquarters 35 Artillery Brigade in Alamala Barracks, Abeokuta, Ogun State, the Corps Commander Artillery (CCA), Major General Markus Kangye, emphasized the importance of respecting the rule of law, loyalty, and upholding military discipline and professionalism. He commended the corps for their effective training and firepower support in Nigerian Army operations.

Major General Kangye highlighted the Chief of Army Staff’s (COAS) commitment to the welfare of troops, including the proposed affordable housing scheme for soldiers. This initiative aims to boost morale and maintain high fighting efficiency in all Nigerian Army operations, contributing to the eradication of criminal elements in the country.

The CCA urged the troops to avoid unprofessional conduct and unauthorized fraternization, particularly during operations. He emphasized the importance of embracing the COAS’s command philosophy, which focuses on transforming the Nigerian Army into a well-trained, equipped, and highly motivated force to fulfill constitutional responsibilities within a joint environment.

Major General Kangye also encouraged active participation in training activities to enhance professionalism. He further visited the 351 Artillery Regiment, where he received a briefing on administrative and operational activities from the Commanding Officer in his office.
