Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the official Spokesperson and Special Adviser to the President, has emphasized that Bola Tinubu, the President, will not tolerate any lack of performance from his cabinet members. Ngelale assured that Tinubu would actively oversee and ensure that his appointed ministers fulfill their responsibilities in line with the renewed hope mandate promised to Nigerians.

Ngelale conveyed this assurance during an appearance on the Business Morning show on Channels TV, addressing concerns about the performance of the newly appointed ministers.

He highlighted that while Nigerians have legitimate high expectations of the ministers, President Tinubu is known for his meticulous approach and will not accept any failure to deliver.

Ngelale stated that Tinubu would closely monitor the ministers, consistently ensuring they meet the time-bound performance benchmarks he has established.

“The President has taken significant steps to ensure that the Ministers possess formal education and career experience that align with their tasks, ensuring they are equipped to perform,” Ngelale stated.

He added, “I can assure you that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s primary focus is to ensure that his cabinet delivers on the renewed hope mandate.”

Ngelale elaborated on the allocation of portfolios to members of the new federal executive council, highlighting Tinubu’s diligent selection process to ensure the right individuals are in the right roles.

For instance, Ngelale mentioned the new Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Alhaji Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, who had previously led the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria with successful reforms that expanded financing for mortgages across the country. This appointment is aimed at emphasizing housing accessibility for Nigerians.

In the Ministry of Innovation, Communication, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, known for founding Africa’s largest co-creation innovation hub with numerous projects across the continent, has been chosen to drive technological advancements.

Ngelale concluded that Nigerians’ high expectations of the new cabinet are well-founded given the track records and expertise of the appointed ministers.
