His Royal Highness Victor Chukwumalieze, the Obi of Onicha Ugbo in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, has announced the suspension of the scheduled Ogbekenu Youths election within the kingdom.

The monarch’s decision to postpone the election was conveyed during a meeting with the youths, who had gathered at his palace to apprise him of the impending election.

The suspension was attributed to an unresolved security issue associated with the election. The monarch stressed that until these security concerns are adequately addressed, the election cannot proceed. He advised the youth to focus on organizing themselves properly and to be thoroughly prepared for the election, which will now be scheduled after the upcoming Ine festival in the kingdom.
