Dana Air has reiterated its dedication to youth empowerment by being unveiled as the headline partner for the upcoming Pageant Conference in August. The convener of the event, Winfrey Agbelese, expressed that the 2023 Conference aims to go beyond grooming aspiring beauty queens, envisioning a hub where pertinent industry challenges are brought to light and discussed.

Agbelese emphasized that the Pageant Conference 2023 aligns with the Pageant Academy’s broader vision to foster youth development in line with Sustainable Development Goals 5, 8, and 10. The goal is to enhance the overall pageant experience, performance, and representation of participants both locally and internationally. It also seeks to create a networking platform where pageant organizers can share their experiences, enlighten participants on the pageant journey, and provide opportunities for aspirants to connect and collaborate.

Kingsley Ezenwa, Dana Air’s Head of Corporate Communications, highlighted the company’s careful consideration of CSR projects and sponsorships. He mentioned that Dana Air is a youth-friendly brand and believes in projects that positively impact Nigeria, especially its youth. Ezenwa stated that Dana Air’s involvement in the Pageant Conference is aligned with their goal of helping aspiring pageant participants excel on both local and international stages, aiming to elevate Nigeria’s global presence in pageantry.

The initiative also seeks to evoke memories of Agbani Darego’s historic win at Miss World, placing Nigeria at the forefront of international beauty pageants.
