‎The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency of Taraba State, Alhaji Muktar Galadima, has donated a 35KVA electricity transformer to Unguwar Ciki community in Ibi Local Government Area.

‎Galadima presented the transformer to the community on Sunday as part of efforts to address the prolonged electricity blackout caused by the breakdown of the community’s previous transformer.

‎Represented by the Director-General of the Galadima Campaign Organisation for the 2027 general elections, Mr Zando Hoku, the PDP candidate said the intervention followed repeated complaints by residents about the power outage.

‎He said the prolonged blackout had negatively affected economic and social activities in the community.

‎Galadima also pledged to support the provision of additional basic and social amenities in the area, saying he remained committed to addressing challenges affecting residents.

‎Receiving the transformer on behalf of the community, the Sarkin Ibi, His Royal Highness Alhaji Abubakar Danbawuro III, commended Galadima for responding to the residents’ concerns.

‎The monarch said the donation would provide relief to residents who had endured difficulties resulting from the prolonged power outage.

‎Danbawuro urged sons and daughters of Ibi, particularly those in positions of influence, to emulate the gesture by supporting projects that would improve the living conditions of residents.

‎He commended Galadima for responding to the community’s complaint within one week and prayed for divine blessings for him and others who contributed to the project.

‎Some residents of the community described the donation as timely and significant, expressing optimism that the transformer would improve electricity supply to a substantial part of Ibi town.

‎The residents also urged constituents in the Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency to assess political leadership based on tangible contributions to their communities rather than campaign promises.
